Sean Hennessey was awarded All Trades Apprentice of the Year by former Scotland Manager, Craig Brown at the National Construction Awards Ceremony 2009
Sean is an inspiration to us all during difficult times proving that with drive and determination you can succeed.
Sean came from the East End of Glasgow with little opportunities for employment or hope for the future. At the age of 18 he joined Carter Ceilings as a labourer working at Kirkstane House moving sheets of plasterboard up several flights of stairs. We were so impressed with Seans work attitude and commitment to our Company that when the contract came to an end the following year Sean was offered the position of an apprenticeship. Sean never lost sight of his vision for the future, as an older apprentice he took a reduction in salary in order to achieve greater success in the long term which is a true credit to himself.
