Carter Ceilings Limited were established in 1978 and are based in the city of Stirling, Central Scotland. We operate throughout Scotland in the construction industry as a specialist contractor supplying and installing suspended ceilings, dry lining, acoustic solutions and glazed screens/demountable partitions.
We work throughout all sectors of the industry and our technical expertise can provide solutions in education, healthcare, retail, office, leisure, transport hubs and petrochemical industries.
We pride ourselves in the supply of a quality service and our reputation to complete a contract on time to tight schedules. We enjoy a very high level of repeat business proving our ability to deliver a "quality job done". We have built long term relationships with major construction companies by working together in partnership, communicating and offering solutions to achieve an end goal.
Carter In-House Skills
We have a core of directly employed operatives who are fully trained to meet current industry and health and safety standards. All our operative's are Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) registered and we pride ourselves on the quality of our workforce.
A large sector of our workforce joined the company as apprentices and have attended CITB training centres to achieve their NVQ Level 2. New employees receive a full induction to ensure that our standards are maintained, and regular refresher courses and toolbox talks are delivered as required.
We are committed to maintaining a fully trained workforce and therefore in house training and external training are carried out in order to achieve the quality workmanship expected from Carter Ceilings. All our operatives have the relevant training required for their roles such as Asbestos Awareness, IPAL, Pasma, Manual Handing, Abrasive Wheels, Fire Safety Awareness, SMSSS and SMSTS.
We also have operatives who are security cleared to work Airside in Airports and have been PTS trained and clearance to work on the platforms of railway stations.
Technical Expertise at Carter Ceilings
Carter Ceilings technical expertise is second to none. We have a close working relationship with all major manufacturers and suppliers coupled with our own in house dedicated and experienced estimators, surveyors, contract management, operation and support staff.
Between our staff we have more than 100 years of experience which allows us to provide solutions to meet all end user requirements.
We acknowledge the need for succession planning and have brought in new staff into the business and trained them both on the job and day release at University in order for them to gain degrees in their chosen fields of expertise.
We pride ourselves in the several accreditations that we have worked hard to achieve. The Health and Safety accreditations of CHAS and Constructionline prove our acknowledgement of the importance of keeping our work force safe. We provide a safe environment for our staff to work in and Health and Safety is top priority for all concerned.
We have also achieved ISO 9001 and ISO1400 which are international standards for quality and environment. We encourage all our staff to take ownership of the quality of their work and at the same time protecting our environment. Employee feedback is welcomed in order to continually improve our systems which not only meets the clients expectations but exceeds them. We also work alongside the manufacturers to reduce wastage by recycling end of life and off cuts.
We are recognised installers for Armstrong Zentia, Ecophon and Rockfon which guarantees our ceilings are installed as per manufacturers specifications.
We are also an accredited member of our Trade Body, "Finishes and Interiors Sector" which keeps us up to date with new practices and again highlights our experience within the industry.
